Job Description

Wise Assets is one of the fastest-growing features today, with Stocks and Interest available in the UK, EU, Singapore, Australia, and expanding further. Our customers now earn £50m a month from their money held across currencies on Wise. Traditional bank holding is non-transparent and unfair, as banks do not disclose how they use your money or the fees involved, offering minimal returns. As interest rates rise globally, this issue worsens as banks take a larger share of the income.

The Wise Account and Assets product empower customers to decide how to hold their money, choose investments, and earn returns, with transparent fees and benefits.

• Strong product mindset and passion for user experience, prioritizing customer needs and making data-driven decisions
• Excellent communication skills to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
• Skill in breaking down complex projects into incremental, value-delivering milestones
• Experience in developing web applications and distributed systems in production
• Knowledge of design patterns, clean code practices, and testing
• Curiosity and commitment to continuous learning
• Advocacy for best coding practices, continuous delivery, and code reviews
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases, query optimization, and schema design is a plus
• Knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, and messaging systems like Kafka is beneficial, but not mandatory
