The Team

You will join the Frontend Platform team, defining the future of FACEIT's frontend. Our products include Community Integrity, Tournaments, Growth, Monetization, and more. The team researches and applies technology to help product teams achieve their goals.

As a Senior engineer, you will guide your colleagues on frontend matters, such as website performance, release stability, scalability, and codebase management. If you're comfortable with these topics, you might be a good fit.

Some activities of the Platform team include:

• Establishing the tech stack and preventing legacy stagnation;
• Providing technologies and best practices for product teams;
• Offering optimization insights and monitoring;
• Developing shared website functionalities like SSO.

Requirements

• A strong curiosity for engineering;
• Experience building large-scale applications with TypeScript and React;
• Experience with server-side technologies (NodeJS & NextJS);
• Ability to write well-documented, maintainable code;
• Effective communication and compromise skills;
• Mentoring abilities to enhance colleagues' skills;
• Ability to collaborate with product, SRE, infrastructure, security, and backend teams;
• Experience leading development projects and stakeholder communication;
• Passion for video games and esports is a plus.

Preferred Experience

• Comfort reading source code of React, NextJS, and third-party libraries;
• Experience with profiling;
• Background in scalable architectures serving millions of users seamlessly.
