Job Role: Senior Software Engineer, Frontend

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: London, Hybrid

As part of the Online team, you will work closely with engineers, designers, and the product team. While primarily an engineering role, we value developers with a keen eye for product development and the ability to contribute to feature development at a product level before implementation.

Key accountabilities and decision ownership

• Writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Ensuring high performance and scalability of web applications
• Thorough troubleshooting and debugging to diagnose issues
• Staying updated with the latest trends and technologies
• Identifying technical debt and areas for improvement
• Contributing to product discussions with technical insights
• Participating in code reviews and mentoring junior team members
• Applying best practices in security, performance, and accessibility

Skills, knowledge, and experience

Must have:

• 5+ years of experience in frontend development for dynamic, responsive web applications
• Strong proficiency with TypeScript, React, and frameworks like NextJS
• Familiarity with state management libraries (Zustand, Redux, MobX, etc.)
• Extensive experience with GraphQL/REST APIs
• Experience with testing tools such as Vitest, Jest, Playwright
• Understanding of CI/CD practices and deployment pipelines

Nice to have:

• Experience with design systems and component libraries
• Experience with Headless CMS platforms
• Developing white-label applications
• Building internationalized applications
• Knowledge of responsive design principles and accessibility standards
• Understanding web performance optimization techniques and tools
