Key Responsibilities

• UI Kit Development: Develop and maintain UI Kits to ensure a consistent look and feel across our applications.
• Design System Development: Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across all products. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate design principles and promote adoption.
• Feature Releases: Lead or significantly contribute to medium-to-large feature releases, often involving cross-team collaboration.
• Collaboration and Coaching: Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define, design, and implement features, while guiding and mentoring other teams for effective collaboration.
• Technical Support: Troubleshoot and debug issues, providing technical guidance.

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

• 2+ years of experience leading cross-team projects, following CDL’s Career Path Framework.
• Experience contributing to and building shared component libraries for reusability and efficiency.
• 5+ years of web application and front-end development experience, using frameworks like Next.js, React, Angular, Web Components, with knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript. Full stack experience is a plus.
• Appreciation for UX/UI design and basic design knowledge.
• Experience working with design systems and UI libraries.
• Proven track record of delivering products iteratively within agile practices.
• Strong mentoring skills to support junior engineers.
• Ability to work closely with designers to ensure functional, user-friendly, and aesthetically pleasing products.
• Experience in building accessible applications meeting high standards.
• Proficiency with version control (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Passion for continuous learning and adopting industry best practices.
• Experience leveraging AWS services such as CloudFront, Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, and S3.
