We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to work in a hybrid environment, innovating with ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365’, Power Platform, and C# .NET to develop cutting-edge solutions and lead a team of Software Engineers.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will enhance our software products, contribute to engineering practices, and ensure our applications provide significant value, aligning with the Council's values of security, financial prudence, transparency, inclusion, and sustainability. Role Accountability
The successful candidate will be responsible for architecture, design, coding, testing, maintenance, and improvement of innovative software solutions. You will use automated tools to create high-performing, accessible, and user-friendly designs, ensuring they are cost-effective and error-free. Understanding user needs, simplifying solutions, and accurate effort estimation are key aspects of the role.
You will participate in evaluations and reviews of programming methods, tools, and standards, promote IT policies to ensure information and system security, and uphold standards and best practices within our community of practice. Embrace Agile methodologies, fostering a dynamic environment with iterative methods and rapid delivery.
You will develop and apply design standards, document all work, maintain security controls, and manage risks through assessment and mitigation strategies.
As a lead officer, you will motivate and inspire your team, facilitate open dialogue regarding expectations, progress, performance, and development needs. This role includes out-of-hours support on a rotational basis, with additional payment.
The Experience You Will Bring
Applicants should have a degree or equivalent work experience, with specific experience in ‘Microsoft Dynamics 365’ development, Power Platform, and Logic Apps.
