Essex County Council is hiring a Senior Software Engineer on behalf of London Borough of Havering.

Role Overview: We seek an experienced Senior Software Engineer to innovate with 'Microsoft Dynamics 365', Power Platform, and C# .NET, leading a team of Software Engineers and delivering cutting-edge solutions that align with our values of security, transparency, inclusion, and sustainability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain innovative software solutions.
• Ensure applications are secure, accessible, and user-friendly, while being cost-effective.
• Understand user needs and simplify solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and uphold IT standards and policies.
• Embrace Agile methodologies for iterative development.
• Document work and maintain security controls.
• Identify and manage risks.
• Lead and motivate team members, providing support and development opportunities. Out-of-hours support rotation included.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
