Job summary

Levy Global is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build and operate a high-performance computing platform handling large-scale distributed workloads. The role focuses on reliability, scalability and efficient deployment across hybrid cloud and on-prem environments, with emphasis on Go and cloud-native practices.

Key responsibilities include extending the platform to AWS, enabling a seamless hybrid-cloud strategy, and delivering production-ready software within an agile team.

Qualifications

• Commercial software engineering experience using Go, Python, Rust or C++, with Go preferred.
• Experience designing or building distributed systems.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native applications.

Senior Software Engineer – Distributed Systems

Contract Inside IR35| Financial Services | London based ( 3 days onsite in London)

We're looking for an experienced Software Engineer to join the team responsible for the continued development, scaling and operation of a high-performance computing (HPC) platform.

You'll play a key role in designing and building software that supports large-scale distributed workloads, helping evolve the platform as it expands into hybrid cloud environments while improving reliability, scalability and operational efficiency.

What you'll be doing

• Design, develop and maintain software for a high-performance computing platform.
• Build new platform capabilities to support large-scale distributed workloads.

• Experience developing production-grade backend software.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-native applications.
• Experience with Python is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Linux environments and modern software engineering practices.
