Qualifications

Senior Software Engineer Your role as Senior Software Engineer will be to modernise an internal Java library that services many of our consumer facing WebApps and make it simpler for our clients to adopt our modern tech stacks.
You should not only be excited by the AI revolution, but someone who is actively using AI tools in your day-to-role. By doing so you will gain the opportunity to be part of the AI transformation at CDL.
Initially your day-to-day will involve improving the legacy Java libraries. However, we are not looking for someone to maintain them we want them to lead the transformation.
You will be part of our API & Java team, however, to achieve our ambition you will work in close collaboration with our on-shore and offshore teams to ensure we can spot and implement opportunities to enhance our technologies.

• Java development experience to Substantial Java and/or Spring Boot development experience
• Experience with Cloud based Delivery Pipelines
• Significant experience with AWS
• Leading on large-scale changes
• Mentoring of lower level peers
• Experience of unit testing and integration testing including TDD
• Work with AI Tools such Amazon Q Developer
• Proven track record in modernising legacy code

Highly Desirable

• Experience with Automated Testing
• Experience with infrastructure as code
• Experience with NextJs, React and Typescript

Benefits Salary

The salary for the role of Senior Software Engineer pays £60,000 - £65,000 / year. Falling within our career framework 5/6, providing a fantastic opportunity for career progression through CDL's clearly defined career framework ( growth and advancement within CDL are only limited by your own ambition and effort.
