Job summary

FryerMiles is recruiting a Senior Software Engineer for Newcastle to work on Defence & National Security programmes. You will design and build the full stack from PoC to production.

Key work includes backend services, APIs, databases, and frontend interfaces, deployed across cloud and on‑premise environments. Strong C#/.NET, Java or Python skills and React/TypeScript are required, with SC clearance as a must.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#/.NET, Java or Python.
• Experience developing production web applications.
• SQL databases, web frameworks and RESTful APIs.
• Frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals and best practices.
• Degree from a Russell Group university (2:1/First)

Responsibilities
