Job summary

10x Banking is seeking a Software Engineer to build scalable, cloud-native microservices with Java and Spring in a fast-paced environment in London. You will mentor juniors and drive delivery excellence while delivering high-quality web services.

You will work with AWS, Kubernetes, Kafka, and PostgreSQL, adopting Agile/Scrum methods, CI/CD, and modern tooling. This remote-enabled role combines office collaboration approx. twice per quarter with flexible working arrangements.

Qualifications

• Solid Java development using Java 21+ and the Spring framework (Boot 3.x).
• Test-driven development with unit/integration/functional tests for web services.
• Experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Strong PostgreSQL knowledge.
• CI/CD with Gradle or Maven.
• Experience leading dev lifecycle and microservices in cloud environments.
• RESTful API design and implementation.
• Production-grade code, Agile/Scrum experience.
• Mentoring and empowering others.
• Stakeholder management and technical trade-off assessment.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of scalable microservices in Kubernetes.

• Deliver high-quality, production-ready software on time.
