La Fosse is proud to partner with a global leader in legal services, searching for a talented Senior Software Engineer to join their technology transformation journey.

The Role
You will be joining a multi-skilled product engineering team responsible for developing innovative legal technology solutions. The team is based in Leeds, with flexible working options, and you will contribute to modernising the legal experience by delivering cloud-native software that supports the client’s global legal operations.

This is a hands-on engineering role involving React, Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms such as Kubernetes and SQL/NoSQL. You will play a key role in designing and maintaining scalable, high-quality systems.

Key Responsibilities

Build modern software using React, Java, Spring Boot, and microservice architectures

Follow Agile and DevOps best practises, including TDD, pair programming, and CI/CD

Collaborate closely with Product, UX, and business stakeholders

Contribute to architecture, design decisions, and coding standards

Drive continuous improvement and adopt modern development practises

Ideal Candidate

5+ years of hands-on experience in Java and React development

Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices

Exposure to containerization tools (Docker/Kubernetes)

Understanding of cloud platforms and distributed systems

Location and Schedule

This role is based in Leeds, and the team goes into the office on an ad-hoc basis, usually for team workshops, etc.
