Senior Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net) *Newcastle onsite* to £130k+

Are you a Senior Software Engineer looking to escape the hustle and bustle of London and relocate to somewhere with stunning scenery and a better quality of life (there are also great restaurants and bars!)?

You could be joining a rapidly scaling FinTech start-up based in Newcastle, progressing your career, and working on complex and interesting systems in an impactful role. The company has secure backing and an established Hedge Fund client as a partner, creating a finance technology hub that brings a wealth of talent and experience.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate with a small, talented team to deliver the core trading platform within a Microsoft environment using the latest versions of C# .Net to produce high-quality code. The company has ambitious growth plans, making this a great opportunity to be involved from the ground up and advance your career.

Location:

You will join colleagues, many of whom have recently relocated themselves, in brand new Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 09:00-18:00 with some flexibility. The offices are well equipped and offer fantastic views across the city and the local countryside. Many employees walk or cycle in (onsite showers available!).

About you:

• You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or a similar technical discipline from a top-tier / Russell Group university, supported by A's at A-level.
• You are a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem-solving, working on complex, distributed systems.
• You have expertise with modern C# .Net Core; Python skills would also be beneficial.
• You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and experience across the full software development lifecycle.
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms.
• You are excited to join a start-up in a role where you can shape and influence the company's growth.
