Job summary

Hawksworth in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a global financial services organisation investing in digital transformation. You will help shape and deliver modern applications with a product engineering mindset.

You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers and engineers in a cross-functional Digital Product Team, applying Agile, DevOps and CI/CD practices to ship high-quality software.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building applications using C#/.NET.
• Full-stack engineering with modern front-end tech.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud development.
• Essential: proven experience in product-led engineering teams.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers and stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and modern software engineering practices.
• Ownership of applications across the full development lifecycle including deployment and production support.
• Understanding of customer-focused development, product metrics and delivering business value.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional Digital Product Team to shape, develop and deliver modern digital applications.
• Own and drive features from design through deployment and production support.
• Partner with Product Managers, Designers and engineers to understand customer needs and translate into technical solutions.

Hawksworth is recruiting now for an experienced Senior Software Engineer for global financial services organisation who are an organisation investing significantly in its digital transformation.

• Location: London
• Hybrid – 1 or 2 Days Onsite Per Week

We’re looking for more than just a strong developer. We want someone who enjoys building high-quality software, understands the importance of customer experience and has a genuine product engineering mindset.

U’ll join a cross-functional Digital Product Team, working closely with Product Managers, Designers and other engineers to shape, develop and deliver modern digital applications.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong hands-on commercial experience developing applications using C# / .NET.
• Full-stack engineering experience, including modern front-end technologies.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based development.
• Essential: Proven experience working in product-led engineering teams, rather than purely project-based software delivery.
• Experience collaborating with Product Managers, UX Designers and business stakeholders to understand customer needs and shape technical solutions.
• Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing and modern software engineering practices.
• Experience taking ownership of applications throughout the complete development lifecycle, including deployment and production support.
• An understanding of customer-focused development, product metrics, continuous improvement and delivering measurable business value.
• Strong engineering principles, including SOLID, clean code and maintainable architecture.
