Job summary

Leonardo, a global leader in Aerospace, Defence and Security, is seeking a Software Engineer with C++ experience to join our Integrated Sensors & Protection line in Southampton. You will develop new features and collaborate with a community of engineers to deliver test-driven solutions for defence and commercial projects.

We value hands-on development across Windows and Linux, hardware interfacing, and modern DevOps tooling.

Qualifications

• C++ or relevant OO software development.
• Familiarity with Electronics and low-level firmware.
• Experience with Windows & Linux applications.
• Familiarity with tools to interface with hardware and APIs.
• Experience with Jira, DevOps, and Git workflows.

Responsibilities

• Develop new features and capabilities using innovative software solutions.
• Collaborate with a community of engineers to create Test Engineering solutions.
• Contribute to production of market-leading products in defence and commercial sectors.
