Job summary

EverQuote NI in Belfast is seeking a senior software engineer for a full‑stack role with a backend focus. You will take ownership of large, business‑critical features and design scalable services that scale with our systems.

You will work in a hybrid setup (3 days in the office) with Docker/Kubernetes, AWS and AI‑assisted tooling to improve code quality and velocity. Collaboration with Product Managers and Architecture is essential to deliver high‑impact solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional programming experience including experience at a software product company.
• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in one or more of the following languages Typescript, Golang, Python or other server side languages.
• You have worked in a microservice-based architecture and are proficient in Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience building, deploying and monitoring cloud based applications, systems & infrastructure at scale (ideally on AWS).
• Deep experience designing systems and communicating designs to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About The Role

As a senior member of the engineering team you will be instrumental in planning, designing, and implementing applications that will scale with EverQuote systems.

In this role, you will build applications and services that meet the needs of the business while also being scalable, performant and easy to maintain. This is a full-stack role with a backend focus, where you will be expected to take full ownership of large pieces of business critical functionality. You will be joining a team of talented, collaborative engineers eager to grow and deliver.

The base salary offered for this position is determined by several factors, including the applicant’s job-related skills, relevant experience, education or training, and work location.

In addition to base salary, our total compensation package may include participation in variable cash bonus programs, equity, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits based on eligibility which are designated by role.
