Job summary

Ripple is seeking a software engineer to design, build, and maintain backend services powering the Cash Forecasting platform, with some frontend work as needed. You will own data layer and queries, focusing on PostgreSQL, and contribute to a multi-tenant SaaS environment.

You’ll work in a large codebase using Ruby/Rails and React, with Docker deployments on AWS, and you’ll participate in code reviews and on-call rotations as part of a collaborative, on-site engineering culture in London.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL fundamentals with PostgreSQL
• Experience with Ruby/Ruby on Rails and React
• Docker or similar containerisation experience
• Git proficiency and collaborative workflows
• Experience with RSpec testing
• Familiarity with AWS and multi-tenant enterprise SaaS
• Experience applying AI tools in the development lifecycle
• Ability to work in large, sophisticated codebases

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs for the Cash Forecasting platform, with frontend tasks when needed
• Work across a large multi-tenant SaaS codebase, ensuring scalability for enterprise data
• Own the data layer, schema design, and query performance with emphasis on PostgreSQL
• Write and maintain thorough test coverage using RSpec
• Package and deploy services using Docker in an AWS-based cloud
• Create tooling to automate repetitive work and aid data migrations
• Instrument systems with logging, metrics, and tracing for reliability
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to translate needs into solutions
• Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
• Be on-call as part of YBIYRI culture
