Job summary

Bauer Media Outdoor UK is looking for a Senior Engineer to lead the design and development of world-class advertising platforms and ad tech. You will help discover advertising products, plan campaigns, and manage real-time bidding across scalable systems.

You will embody engineering excellence, drive reliability, security, and cost efficiency at scale, and embed practical AI into our products. You will mentor engineers and shape technical roadmaps across squads.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of software engineering experience.
• Experience working in ad tech or the advertising industry.
• Strong full stack capability.
• Proficiency in modern engineering stacks, cloud platforms, and agile ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and evolution of key systems.
• Hands on design and build of complex features and platform capabilities.
• Set and uphold technical standards and engineering best practices.
• Guide engineers through design reviews, mentoring, and hands on delivery.
• Balance short term delivery with long term technical health.
• Collaborate with Product, UX, and Data leads to shape technical roadmaps.
• Act as a technical point of contact for cross functional stakeholders.
• Develop deep understanding of the Outdoor advertising industry, business strategy, and customer needs.
• Focus on non functional requirements including reliability, scalability, security, and cost effectiveness.
