Job summary

Street Group, a leading PropTech company in the UK, is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (L5) in Manchester for a hybrid role. You will own features end-to-end, drive architectural decisions, and contribute to AI infrastructure while collaborating with designers and engineers to deliver scalable solutions.

You’ll work in an environment that values product thinking, communication, and autonomy, with opportunities to mentor others and influence big technical moves in security and platform

Qualifications

• Commercial experience with PHP and Laravel; solid MVC fundamentals and framework concepts.
• Experience with modern JS frameworks (Vue 3, React, Angular) is required.
• Production experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, RDS advantageous).
• AI-native approach to tooling and workflows; using plugins and skills fluently.
• Design solutions for scale with attention to performance and maintainability.
• Product thinking integrated into engineering work; understanding user and business context.

Responsibilities

• Own features from scope to deployment and iteration for scale-focused systems.
• Direct parallel work streams while focusing on design decisions and complex problems.
• Contribute to security, architecture, and platform upgrades.
• Build AI infrastructure and shared tooling for the team.
• Infuse product thinking into engineering decisions and collaborate with product/design.
