Job summary

MBDA UK in Stevenage is seeking software-focused engineers to develop test solutions within a hybrid work setup. The role emphasizes C/C++ development, automation, and agile teamwork to deliver robust software and testing capabilities.

You will collaborate across teams to ensure timely, high-quality results while aligning with MBDA's security standards and project requirements. The role requires strong C/C++ skills, familiarity with CI/CD practices, and an understanding of DevOps concepts.

Job description

Salary: £40,000-£75,000 depending on experience Location: Stevenage (We may be able to offer a relocation package for this role) Dynamic (hybrid) working: Typically for this role you will work 3-5 days per week on-site due to workload classification. Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

What we're looking for from you

• Previous software engineering experience in the development of test solutions
• Strong ability to write software in C / C++; scripting languages would be an advantage to our future direction
• Previous experience working in an agile development team
• A strong understanding of what is required to create high quality software and the ability to support quality practices
• A good understanding of automation, continuous integration and DevOps principles and practices
• Knowledge of electronics measurement and debug techniques using equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers
