Job summary

MHR International UK Limited in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Java professional to design, develop and maintain enterprise-scale SaaS apps powered by Jakarta EE/J2EE, with modern front‑end work in Angular and TypeScript.

You will help define engineering standards, improve platform scalability, mentor engineers through code reviews, and champion AI‑assisted development using GitHub Copilot to accelerate delivery and AI-enabled product innovation.

Your Impact

You’ll build and enhance enterprise-scale SaaS applications powered by Java (Jakarta EE/J2EE), while creating modern user experiences with Angular and TypeScript. You’ll help define engineering standards, improve platform scalability and support the delivery of AI-driven capabilities that enhance customer outcomes.

AI will be a key part of your role. You’ll leverage tools such as GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development technologies to accelerate delivery, improve code quality and explore new ways to embed AI into both our products and software engineering lifecycle.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java (Jakarta EE/J2EE)

Build modern web applications using TypeScript and Angular

What we're looking for

Strong commercial experience with Java and Jakarta EE/J2EE

Experience with Angular and TypeScript, or strong experience with modern front-end frameworks

Experience designing and building enterprise-scale applications and APIs

Strong understanding of software architecture, engineering best practices and Agile delivery

Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction

Hands‑on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor or similar

Passion for exploring how AI can improve software engineering, productivity and customer outcomes
