Job summary

MONY Group in Manchester is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help build platforms powering millions of financial decisions each month. You will shape technical direction, design scalable systems and contribute across the full software lifecycle, from architecture through testing, deployment and maintenance.

You'll work with product managers, designers and engineers to solve real customer problems at scale, using TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, AWS and Vue.js, while embracing AI-enabled

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help build the products and platforms that power millions of financial decisions every month. Joining one of our Manchester-based engineering teams, you'll work on experiences that make it simpler for customers to discover, compare and switch financial products with confidence. You'll have a significant impact from day one, shaping technical direction, building scalable solutions and contributing across the full software development lifecycle. From architecture and implementation through to testing, deployment and continuous improvement, you'll work closely with product managers, designers and fellow engineers to solve meaningful customer problems at scale. What You'll Do

• Use technologies including TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, AWS and Vue.js to build scalable, resilient and secure systems.
• Champion engineering excellence through practices such as automated testing, pair programming, mobbing and continuous delivery.
• Embed security, reliability and operational excellence into everything you build.
• Explore and adopt AI-assisted engineering tools that improve how we design, build, test and maintain software.
• Share knowledge, mentor others and help foster an inclusive, high-performing engineering culture.

• An interview split into three sections with technical ability questions, a paired programming exercise and behavioural questions.
