Job summary

Cox Automotive Europe, via Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), is modernising a large-scale .NET platform into a cloud-native AWS ecosystem. We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to influence design decisions, champion testing and automation, and drive delivery of scalable services.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience with .NET / .NET Core & Docker.
• Experience building applications in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar).
• A passion for clean code, testing and engineering best practice.
• Experience with APIs, distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• An understanding of CI/CD, Agile delivery, BDD and/or TDD.

• Help migrate a legacy .NET Framework monolith into AWS-native services and microservices.
• Develop robust APIs and event-driven solutions.

Manheim Vehicle Services (MVS), part of Cox Automotive Europe, is on an ambitious engineering transformation journey.

We’re modernising a large-scale legacy .NET platform into a cloud-native ecosystem built on AWS, modern .NET, event-driven architecture and AI-enabled engineering practices. Our systems support one of the UK’s largest vehicle preparation and storage operations, processing more than 200,000 vehicles annually for manufacturers, finance providers and rental businesses.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in shaping the future of our technology platform while helping define how modern software engineering and AI-assisted development are applied across the business.

What You’ll Be Doing
