Beau Roi is hiring a Senior Software Engineer/Architect with 10+ years total, including 5+ years with deep experience in Magento 2.x and a strong foundation in full-stack development for enterprise-grade e-commerce platforms. This is a key role that bridges technical expertise with strategic delivery, focusing on scalable architecture, integration, and performance optimization. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a lead developer responsible for the development of new software products and enhancements to existing products. You should excel in working with large-scale applications and frameworks and have outstanding communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Writing clean, high-quality, high-performance, maintainable code
• Develop and support software including applications, database integration, interfaces, and new functionality enhancements
• Coordinate cross-functionally to insure project meets business objectives and compliance standards
• Support test and deployment of new products and features
• Participate in code reviews
• Architect, develop, and maintain high-performance e-commerce platforms
• Lead technical design and ensure best practices across frontend and backend
• Develop custom Magento 2.x extensions, themes, and integrations
• Integrate Magento with ERP, PIM, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party APIs
• Mentor and guide developers across onsite and offshore teams
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define requirements and timelines
• Ensure code quality, scalability, and performance optimization
• Conduct code reviews and support continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD) processes

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Magento certification preferred but not mandatory for highly experienced candidates
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Expertise in Object Oriented Design, Database Design, and XML Schema
• Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies
• Ability to multi-task, organize, and prioritize work

Required Skills & Technical Expertise:

• Magento 2.x (custom module development, theming, optimization) – MANDATORY
• Familiarity with ERP (SAP, NetSuite), PIM (Akeneo, Pimcore) systems
• CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions
• Version control: Git (GitHub/Bitbucket/GitLab)
• Web security best practices (OWASP guidelines)
• Agile/Scrum methodology and Jira/Confluence for project tracking
• Understanding of caching and performance: Varnish, Redis, Elasticsearch
• Magento Certification (Associate/Professional/Expert) is a strong plus
