Job summary

Hexwired Recruitment Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive software design from specification to verified code. You will contribute expert knowledge across development, testing and verification for our client projects in the UK.

The role emphasizes delivering new products, enhancing existing software, and mentoring junior colleagues while liaising with customers and partners on software matters. Strong C++ skills and VS experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent understanding of C++ (language skills).
• Experience taking projects through the software development life cycle.
• Good English communication skills, written and verbal.
• Good understanding of Microsoft Visual Studio 2022/2026.
• Experience with GUI/UX or HCI desirable.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, PowerShell) desirable.

The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for the whole or an assigned portion of a design from preliminary specification through to verified software. The Senior Software Engineer provides expert knowledge of software design, test and verification.
