We have a role for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Software Engineering & Data team, where you will play a crucial role in developing cutting-edge software solutions that support and enhance the work that will help the team achieve our goals in the Formula One World Championship and return to the top of the grid.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a team of Software, Data, and Platform Engineers, as well as Data Scientists, working to improve all areas of the team, from car design and manufacturing to performance analysis at the track.

The Role:

The main responsibilities include executing the software development life cycle (SDLC) over legacy and new projects, complying with project plans and industry standards, following the team’s culture, and communicating with engineering teams to analyze problems and develop solutions.

Senior team members also have key roles in:

• Fostering a strong team culture by upholding and promoting positive team values.
• Mentoring and training junior colleagues to support their growth and skill development.
• Occasionally taking on product ownership roles to oversee specific projects and ensure their success.

The Person:

If you hold a BSc Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, have proven experience in .NET development, and are passionate about leadership, mentorship, and driving team success, we want to hear from you!

While most of our codebase is written in C#, knowledge of other languages such as Python, C++, Rust, or MATLAB is beneficial. The technologies and expertise we seek include:

• Web services: gRPC, REST
• Relational databases: SQL Server
• Understanding of architecture and design patterns
• Commitment to deadlines
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment within a strong team culture

Additional skills that are advantageous include advanced knowledge of ETL processes and experience leading teams or projects.
