Job summary

Uniting Ambition is seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to design and build scalable backend services in Python and modern React frontends. You will own from API design to production performance, ensuring security and reliability across the stack.

You will work on microservices and data stores, with AWS, Docker, and CI/CD tooling, while contributing to robust frontend and backend systems. This role demands leadership and hands-on delivery in a fast-growing team.

Qualifications

• 8+ years' backend development experience.
• Experience with microservices architecture, event-driven systems, and cloud platforms (AWS).
• Proficiency with Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and Git.
• Bonus: Kafka/SQS, Terraform/CloudFormation, serverless (Lambda), or MLOps experience.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable microservices (REST, gRPC, GraphQL) and API endpoints in Python (FastAPI/Flask).
• Develop and maintain React frontends, including state management with Redux or React Query.
• Optimise SQL/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB) for performance and reliability.
• Implement authentication/authorisation (JWT, OAuth2, OpenID Connect) and monitor production performance.
