Senior Software Engineer - Remote | £60,000 - £70,000, Excellent Benefits | Market-Leading Automotive Company | Midlands (Remote Working)

Are you a seasoned PHP developer with a passion for clean code, modern frameworks, and engineering excellence? I'm currently working with a market-leading automotive business, headquartered in the Midlands, who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their growing remote team.

This is a fully remote role with flexible working hours, though you'll need to be available during core hours of 9am-5pm.

What You'll Be Doing:

1. You'll hit the ground running with a high-profile migration project - moving their legacy CakePHP systems over to Laravel. This is a key part of their digital transformation journey, and you'll be right at the centre of it.
2. Building out new features
3. Squashing bugs and improving performance
4. Assisting with deployment and release management
5. Working across a modern DevOps environment

Tech Stack You'll Be Working With:

1. PHP (CakePHP & Laravel)
2. SQL databases
3. 3rd party API integrations

What We're Looking For:

1. Strong experience in CakePHP and Laravel
2. Solid front-end skills with Vue.js or jQuery
3. Comfortable with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
4. Confident working with SQL and integrating with external APIs
5. A self-starter who can thrive in a remote-first environment
