Job description

Shape the Future with Us

By joining us, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Kratix, our cutting-edge platform-building framework. We’re looking for Senior, Staff, and Principal Engineers to help us drive innovation and deliver real impact for our customers.

What you'll do:

  • Innovative Product Development: Leverage your expertise in platforms and user-centric design to enhance Kratix. You’ll use customer feedback and industry insights to develop features that deliver meaningful value.
  • Engage with Potential Clients: Showcase Kratix’s capabilities and demonstrate how it can solve real-world challenges and add measurable value to businesses.
  • Collaborate with Customers: Partner closely with Syntasso customers to ensure a smooth adoption journey, providing hands-on support and technical guidance.
  • Contribute to the Platform Engineering Community: Share your expertise through blogs, conference talks, or collaborations with peers in the industry. You’ll have the freedom to make your mark in a way that feels authentic to you.

At Syntasso, you’ll be part of a supportive, innovative team that values your growth and creativity. We offer the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technologies, collaborate with passionate peers, and make a lasting impact in a growing field.

Qualifications for Success

  • Collaborative Problem-Solver: You thrive in a team setting, communicate effectively, and enjoy working closely with others through pairing and shared learning.
  • Adaptable and Growth-Oriented: You embrace ambiguity and are excited by the opportunity to learn, experiment, and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical Excellence: You have experience with complex distributed systems and have worked on building and maintaining sophisticated software products.
  • Proficiency in Golang: Strong programming skills in Go are a must.
  • Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience crafting and managing platforms using Kubernetes is essential. Familiarity with public cloud services, CNCF technologies, or the HashiCorp stack is a bonus.
  • Passion for Learning: We don’t expect you to have experience with every tool or technology we use, but we do value a strong willingness to learn and adapt.
Alignment Process

We understand that choosing the right role is as important as choosing the right person. Our alignment process is designed to ensure we’re a great fit for each other and to be as inclusive as possible. Here’s what to expect:

  • Initial Conversation: An open chat with Chris, our VP of Engineering and CoFounder, to explore your experience, what excites you about this role, and how we work at Syntasso including our values.
  • Values in Action: A deeper dive into how your values align with ours, and how we can grow together, with Shane, our Engineering Manager, and who you'd report to if successful.
  • Skills & Collaboration: A practical pair programming task with one of our Principal Engineers where we can see how you collaborate and approach problem solving.
  • Meet the Team: An opportunity to come to our office and meet some of your potential teammates, ask questions, and get a feel for our culture and ways of working. We’ll also collaborate on a couple of practical tasks, including a whiteboarding session and a pair programming exercise.

We’re committed to making this process as inclusive as possible. If there’s anything you need to help you participate fully, let us know, and we’ll work with you to accommodate your needs.

Throughout the process, we’ll keep things clear, transparent, and as efficient as possible, with plenty of space for your questions and input.
