Job summary

Northrop Grumman UK in Cheltenham is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain critical infrastructure across backend and frontend stacks. The role is hybrid and will involve leading hands-on engineering work on diverse projects with a strong delivery focus.

You will work with Java Spring Boot, Maven, Python on the backend and JS/TS, React, Npm on the frontend, with CI/CD, containers, and cloud platforms such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Software Engineer across backend and frontend stacks.
• Proficiency in Java Spring Boot, Maven, Python.
• Strong communication and Agile mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform hands-on development and contribute to the code base including peer reviews.
• Design software features to realise the product roadmap and explain design choices.
• Break down large pieces of work into well-defined tasks to be implemented in Agile manner.
