Job Description

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing robust and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies.

What you'll be doing:

1. Working with the most modern technology to deliver innovative solutions for our customers
2. Hands-on designing and developing existing and new applications
3. Working in an agile environment, alongside colleagues from LGIM and third-party companies
4. Mentoring junior team members including code reviews, problem solving, development, and code standards including security standards
5. Delivering high-quality software supported by fully automated testing frameworks
6. Creating opportunities for your own learning and growth, as well as sharing findings with your peers
7. Deploying developed applications using set tools and pipelines to all environments on container-based cloud platforms

Qualifications - Who we're looking for:

1. Core Java development skills
2. Experience with Java Core, Spring / Quarkus framework, and Linux
3. Microservices architecture
4. Understanding of computing science fundamentals – concurrency, algorithms, data structures, design patterns, etc.
5. Good understanding of build activities across the SDLC including unit testing, system testing, integration, security, and performance testing
6. Relentless focus on delivering business value through sound engineering methods and principles
7. Working experience with Kafka for event-driven communication between services
8. Experience in Cloud Applications
9. Docker-based container development and deployment on Kubernetes
10. Understanding of CI/CD methodologies and tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, etc.
11. Experience in Automated testing and TDD
12. Experience with Software Engineering collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
