This role will join the Digital Services team, part of Change and Technology Services within the Insolvency Service, supporting enterprise applications used by internal teams, external organisations and the general public.
The team is consolidating its technology stack and moving away from legacy services, with a growing focus on Microsoft .NET 10 and Azure. This is a strong opportunity to help modernise digital services, influence technical approaches and contribute to a more sustainable, user-centred technology environment.
The role will also contribute to the ongoing improvement of a portfolio of live digital services, helping reduce technical debt, improve consistency across the technology estate and support faster, more effective delivery of future change.
The role is open across 9 of Insolvency Service locations:
Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Ipswich, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle and Nottingham
This is an opportunity to join the Insolvency Service at an important point in its technology journey.
You will be working on a wider programme to maintain, improve and modernise more than 10 digital services, helping the team move away from older applications and inconsistent technologies towards a more focused and maintainable Microsoft-based environment.
You will have the opportunity to improve live services, influence engineering standards, contribute to technical decisions and work with modern development practices across a collaborative Digital Services team.
