Moonshot Partners in Brighton is building its first real engineering team inside a long-standing membership product. This senior role lets you shape how engineering works here—from architecture and standards to AI in the workflow.

You’ll build product end to end in TypeScript (React + Node), mentor others, and partner with Product as a true teammate. The role is hybrid (3 days in the office) with ownership and room to grow beyond a pure hands-on path.

A UK product company in Brighton is building its first real engineering team. Not "first hire at a 3-person startup." First dedicated engineering team inside a membership product that's been around for about 100 years and is finally becoming a proper digital product.

You'll help decide how engineering works here. Architecture. Standards. Tooling. AI in the workflow. How the next hires get chosen. The boring stuff that actually matters later.

What you’ll actually do

• Build product end to end in TypeScript (React + Node)
• Leave the codebase better than you found it, every week
• Partner with Product like an adult, not a ticket machine
• Use AI as a teammate, not a party trick
• Help grow the team without becoming a full-time manager (unless you want that path later)

You're probably a fit if

• TypeScript, React and Node are already muscle memory
• You still want to write code, not only talk about it
