Senior Software Engineer

Bolton

You're a skilled Software Engineer with experience in C++ and C#, looking for a role where your work directly contributes to mission-critical defence systems. You'll deliver innovative software solutions that drive the success of complex defence projects!

Salary: £40,000 to £64,000 depending on experience

Work Schedule: 5 days per week on-site, due to workload classification

The opportunity:
You will be part of a growing team producing software which is critical to the success of our products!

As part of a team of 5-7, you will be working with C++ and C# to respond to new customer requirements and improve the functionality of the products. An exciting element of this role is understanding the functionality of the many subsystems of a delivery, rather than focusing on one element.

This role includes involvement in all aspects of the development, integration, delivery into service and service support aspects.

What we're looking for from you:

1. A strong background in software engineering, its realization and system-wide impact.
2. Proficient in C++ and C#
3. Experience of Agile methodologies (Scrum)
4. Knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
5. Exposure to Windows OS lockdown and Automated Testing would be useful
