The Amazon Aurora Storage team is responsible for delivering distributed structured storage services to customers for relational database segments. We believe that Database Services, while already a large profitable business, is in its infancy. Over the next few years, it will become a very large market. We are looking for an experienced technical leader to take our early lead in the database services market and extend it by defining and delivering industry-leading next-generation storage services purpose-built for databases.

The Amazon Aurora Storage team seeks experienced technical experts in large-scale distributed systems development to build services that operate across thousands of servers in multiple data centers worldwide, powering Amazon Aurora. These are core system development positions where you will own the design and development of critical system software components essential to our industry-leading storage services architected for the cloud. This is a hands-on role involving building robust components and mentoring other engineers. You should be a top software developer with a proven track record, excellent communication skills, and a customer-focused mindset. Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of overall development experience and 5+ years in enterprise software.

• Knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
