About this role

Builds, tests, and maintains the infrastructure, tools, and systems that enable effective and efficient software releases. Responsibilities include developing development tools and infrastructure, understanding engineers' needs, and automating and improving development and release processes. The work is task-oriented, with tasks assigned by senior team members, focusing mainly on one component of the team's domain. The role involves actively enhancing engineering skills, understanding BlackRock's technology stack, software practices, and tooling.

Job overview

This role is within Preqin, part of BlackRock, which is revolutionizing private markets data and technology for clients worldwide, complementing the Aladdin platform to deliver comprehensive investment solutions.

You will join a passionate team responsible for end-to-end testing, including analyzing cards, automating tests, integrating with TeamCity pipelines, and ensuring successful releases.

In this role you will:

• Develop, refine, and test against acceptance criteria for User Stories.
• Coordinate testing activities within Business units and the QA team.
• Collaborate with Developers and QAs.
• Perform manual and automated testing, creating scripts in TypeScript for CI/CD pipelines.
• Use Puppeteer/Playwright, Cucumber for test automation.
• Understand API testing and work closely with the development team from the start.
• Perform basic performance and load testing using JMeter.
• Ensure releases meet business expectations, documenting these expectations.

You are a good fit if:

• You can work with SQL queries, AWS, and TeamCity.
• You are passionate about identifying issues in software.
