As a Senior Software Developer, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing both internal and customer-facing, business-critical and innovative applications, in both new and legacy technologies where required. You will also contribute to architectural designs where necessary and provide technical support to ensure faults are resolved quickly and effectively. Additionally, you will support and mentor junior team members and perform code reviews to uphold good coding standards.

In this role, you will be involved in sprint cycles, planning, review sessions, and the iterative build, test, and deployment processes.

Your key responsibilities:

1. Manage your delivery commitments within sprints to ensure timely and quality delivery of solutions
2. Design technical solution architectures to support project deliveries and scaling of solutions
3. Analyze and plan technical requirements for solutions
4. Review, support, and provide feedback on work items produced by the Business Analysis team
5. Write and review code for functionality and standards
6. Prepare test cases and strategies for unit & integration testing
7. Oversee the successful deployment of applications and solutions
8. Problem solve and resolve technical issues
9. Keep up to date with industry trends and developments
10. Mentor and support the development of junior team members

About You

To succeed, you will likely be in a similar role or have relevant transferable experience. You should be comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and approachability. Excellent communication skills and teamwork are essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Expertise in C#, .NET Framework/.NET Core & ASP.NET
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript & CSS
• Proficiency in T-SQL
• Knowledge of older technologies such as ASP.NET Web Forms and Classic ASP (preferred)
• Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks like React (preferable)
• Knowledge of UI/UX standards and emerging technologies
• Experience with web services integration (REST, GraphQL)
• Experience with Azure Integration technologies (App services, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, API Management)
• Understanding of security practices
• Experience with Agile methodologies
• Good knowledge of version control & CI/CD
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps (preferable)
• Strong interpersonal, mentoring, and leadership skills
• Extensive experience in web app development
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a related field (preferred)
• Professional certifications in relevant technologies
