About The Role

We are recruiting for a Senior Software Developer to join our expanding IT department. As a Senior Developer, you’ll become an integral part of our agile development team, working with the latest technology on ground-breaking projects to keep the business at the forefront of our industry. The opportunities within our Technical Hub are huge. We have a clear progression path for you to strive towards to increase your salary accordingly.

You’ll work on the development and maintenance of our industry-leading CAD based planning system, used by our Kitchen Designers to bring our customers' dreams to reality, as well as working on the architecture, planning, and design of other innovative internal systems used across our manufacturing, transport, installations, and customer service departments. The technology you will be using includes:

  • JavaScript / TypeScript

Main Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain Wren’s custom-built, cutting-edge applications
  • Write clean code that is clear and understandable by others
  • Contribute to project estimations
  • Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle
  • Work with senior developers, business stakeholders, and the development team to understand the initial scope for a new project

In addition to any other duties, as a responsible person you must ensure that you have read, understood, and adhere to policies and procedures relating to Health and Safety, and your responsibilities located in the Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities document.

About You

Desired skills and knowledge:

  • 4+ years' experience with JavaScript, including OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns
  • Strong grasp of advanced JS concepts (e.g., mixins, composition, scope)
  • Solid maths skills, especially in Linear Algebra and Geometry
  • Proficient with TypeScript, React (or similar), NodeJS, HTML5, Canvas, and Less
  • Experienced with Git workflows, unit and end-to-end testing
  • Familiar with Agile, mentoring, and working on Linux or macOS
  • Knowledge of tools like Docker, Webpack, NPM, ESLint, and Karma
  • Background in Computer Science and/or Game Development
