Qualifications

• Essential qualifications: Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.

The Role: Conducting Independent Technical Assessments of software in safety-critical aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform Independent Technical Evaluations focusing on safety and assurance of aircraft software systems.
2. Develop structured software safety arguments demonstrating software integrity and compliance.
3. Ensure software development follows recognized safety standards and processes.
4. Assess changes at the source code level, especially in SPARK Ada, and review static analysis and formal methods outputs.
5. Produce assessment reports for stakeholders including safety and systems engineers.
6. Understand aircraft software development principles and industry standards (e.g., DO-178C, DEF-STANs).
7. Experience with safety-critical software development and safety engineering principles.
8. Background as a Software Technical Assessor or hands-on experience in safety-critical environments.
