Job summary

Peterborough City Council is seeking an experienced Advanced/Senior Practitioner to join the 18–25 Transition Team. You will manage a caseload, provide supervision to social workers, and support the Team Manager with day-to-day operations.

This is a part-time role, two days a week, with Monday in person at Sand Martin House and a pro rata salary. You will bring strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding adults, MCA, Court of Protection and DoLS, and promote strengths-based,

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with strong assessment, safeguarding and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage complex cases and provide supervision.
• Passion for transition-focused, person-centred practice.

Responsibilities

• Manage a manageable caseload and provide supervision to social workers.
• Support the Team Manager with day-to-day running of the service.
• Provide professional guidance and cover when required.
• Travel between locations as needed.
