Job summary

Pro Social Partners, in partnership with Achieving for Children, seeks a Senior Social Worker to join the Safeguarding Team covering Kingston and Richmond. The role is permanent with hybrid working, offering a salary of £45,750–£52,194 plus a £3,000 golden hello and a £3,000 annual retention payment.

The successful candidate will hold a Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and bring substantial Children’s Social Care experience including child protection and court

Qualifications

• Substantial post-qualifying experience in Children's Social Care, including child protection and court work.
• Strong assessment, analytical and decision-making skills with ability to manage complexity and risk.
• Ability to mentor and support colleagues and contribute to a strong practice culture.
• Commitment to relationship-based and strengths-led practice.

Responsibilities

• Hold a caseload of complex child in need, child protection and pre-proceedings work, ensuring statutory responsibilities are met.
• Complete high-quality, strengths-based assessments that clearly analyse risk, need and protective factors.
• Lead on the more complex cases within the team and offer advice, guidance and support to less experienced colleagues.
• Develop and review safety and support plans that reduce risk and promote family resilience.
• Prepare clear, analytical reports for conferences, reviews and court, and represent the service at multi-agency meetings.

Pro Social Partners are proud to be working in partnership with Achieving for Children to recruit a Senior Social Worker to join their Safeguarding Team covering Kingston and Richmond.

Achieving for Children is a dedicated children's services organisation delivering social care on behalf of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames and the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. This is a senior practitioner post for an experienced child protection social worker who wants to hold complex work, support colleagues and shape practice, with a golden hello and annual retention payment on top of a competitive salary.

The Role
