London Borough of Richmond upon Thames is seeking a Senior Social Worker to join the Richmond & Barnes Social Care Team. You will lead on complex casework, provide professional guidance and contribute to the development of high-quality adult social care services.

Based in East Sheen with hybrid working, you will support adults 18+ with disabilities and health needs, ensuring personalised, strengths-based care and effective collaboration with multidisciplinary colleagues.

Qualifications

  • Recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
  • Significant post-qualification experience within adult social care.
  • Strong knowledge of the Care Act 2014, safeguarding and statutory guidance.
  • Ability to undertake complex assessments, manage risk and make sound professional decisions.
  • Experience providing supervision and support to colleagues.

Objective of Role

Are you an experienced Social Worker ready to take on a senior role where yourexpertise, professional judgement and leadership truly make an impact? As a Senior Social Worker within the Richmond & Barnes Social Care Team, you will play a key role in supporting adults to maintain their independence, wellbeing and quality of life. You will work with residents aged 18+ who have physical disabilities, long-term conditions and a range of physical and mental health needs, ensuring they receive personalised, strengths-based support. About The Role

Richmond and Wandsworth Councils are seeking a skilled Senior Social Worker to join the Richmond & Barnes Social Care Team. This opportunity will enable you to manage complex cases, provide professional oversight and contribute to outstanding adult social care practice.

About the Team: The team consists of Social Workers and Social Care Assessors co-located with District Nurses and Community Matrons to deliver integrated, multidisciplinary support. Based in East Sheen, the team works closely with local partners to provide holistic and personalised services.
