Senior Social Worker - Safeguarding

Salary: Grade 9, £39,152 to £42,839 per annum.
Hours: 37 per week
Contract: Permanent

Essential Requirements:

Registration with Social Care Wales as a social worker
Applicants must hold a qualification in social work i.e. degree or social work predecessor e.g. DipSW.

We are a dedicated team who ensure that Denbighshire statutory duties in regard to safeguarding adults at risk are achieved. As a team we are involved in the implementation of effective legislative processes that allow individuals to acknowledge the impact positive risk taking can have in their lives, to be protected from potential and actual risk of harm and to strive towards their desired outcomes.

A thorough understanding of the guidance within the Social Services and Wellbeing Act in relation to safeguarding adults is the cornerstone for this role, and working to implement the legislative timescales whilst engaging with significant stakeholders to ensure a consistent and robust approach to safeguarding will be the overall challenge of this role.

This is an enthusiastic team, which is both welcoming and supportive towards team members. There is the opportunity of gaining new knowledge and skills in an area of work that promotes choice and control to the citizens of Denbighshire.

This post offers a development opportunity for the right candidate to focus on a specific area of social work. Applications are welcome from experienced Grade 8 Social Workers who are looking to progress and those who are currently working at a Grade 9 level, who are seeking the opportunity to specialise.

There is a commitment to actively support career progression, with appropriate training where necessary.
