We are bound by the MoC, which means pay rates are capped. While we can pay up to £40, this rate is for those deemed to be at Qualified Social Work Practitioner level with over 2 years of experience. Candidates should be aware that the requested pay rate may not be the final offer; managers assess skills and competency at interview. If offered less than requested, feedback and reasoning will be provided.
Location – Bridge House Worthing, with travel across West Sussex and occasionally beyond.
Working arrangements – Mix of home and office work, with at least 2 days a week in the office. The worker needs to be able to conduct social supervision.
IMPORTANT: CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN FORENSIC AND LEARNING DISABILITY SETTINGS AND SOCIAL SUPERVISION, WHICH IS A SPECIFIC ROLE WITHIN FORENSICS.
Undertake a full range of social work tasks independently, providing an accountable statutory social work service, including assessment, planning, reviewing, and safeguarding enquiries. Act with integrity, professionalism, and respect, prioritizing individual needs.
Manage varied and complex cases, collaborate with other agencies, handle complex family dynamics, risk levels, and legal issues. Work with individuals and their families or carers to identify strengths, networks, and community assets.
Remain compliant with legislation and organisational policies, uphold Social Work England standards, and work within legislative and organisational requirements. Support the Team Manager and colleagues, lead on specialist service areas, and ensure effective communication of developments.
Lead on complex casework, provide supervision and guidance, and act as a Social Supervisor under Section 37/41 of the Mental Health Act, reporting to the Ministry of Justice.
