Senior Social Worker, Orpington & The Crays Adult Locality Team

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Senior Social Worker within the Orpington & The Crays Locality Team to work Full Time based in Bromley.

The salary for this Senior Social Worker job is up to £54,063 per annum.

Responsibilities
  • To promote and maintain independence for vulnerable adults in line with the wellbeing principles set out in the Care Act 2014 and the Health and Social Care Act 2022.
  • To support carers to continue in their role.
  • To protect adults at risk by robust assessments and the use of safeguarding procedures with an emphasis on making safeguarding personal.
  • With the Adult & Carer, formulate and implement personal budgets and support plans.
  • Monitor, review and evaluate support plans including direct payments in order to ensure that they are consistent with eligible need.
  • Provide supervision, support and advice to other team members and deputise for the Team Leader.
  • Assist and participate in the management of the Duty Service and act as Duty Senior.
  • Undertake the safeguarding adult manager role and role of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedure.
  • Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers.
  • Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies.
  • As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred or concluded, in accordance with procedures.
  • Develop and support self and staff learning.
  • Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers.
  • Maintain client records in accordance with Council policy and professional standards.
  • Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with the Council's complaints procedure.
  • Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators or translators when appropriate.
  • Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section.
Requirements
  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
