Edinburgh Justice Services is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join as a Senior Social Worker for the Community Intervention Services for Sexual Offending (CISSO).
CISSO supports Justice Social Work across Edinburgh, Lothians, and Scottish Borders, working with adults with sexual offending histories. The team provides specialist assessments, interventions, coaching, training, and consultation. The Senior Social Worker will supervise a small team and play a key role in consultations. The role involves managing the Moving Forwards To Change (MF2C) programme, which addresses sexual offending behaviour. Training in MF2C is required unless already completed.
The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in best practices for working with adults with sexual offending histories, along with leadership skills. Proven skills in social work interventions and leadership are desirable, with opportunities for specialist training and support.
Reporting to the Team Leader, the post holder will ensure high-quality practice, oversee service delivery, support staff, and represent the service at multi-agency meetings and forums.

Applicants must have a Social Work qualification recognized by the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC), be registered or eligible for registration, and have experience with risk assessment tools and risk management processes.
This role involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the PVG Scheme. The successful candidate will need to undergo PVG checks and provide any required overseas criminal record checks. Employment is contingent on satisfactory checks.
