Job summary

Medway Council is seeking a Senior Social Worker for Long Term Care and Support in Adults’ Services. The role combines on-site work at Gun Wharf/Compass Centre with home-based duties in a hybrid pattern and includes professional supervision of a social care team.

A robust DBS check is required and the package supports ongoing training and development. The post offers a salary of £47,435 per annum, with a clear progression framework and access to generous leave and flexible working arrangements

Qualifications

• Senior Social Worker with experience in Adult Social Care.
• Strong supervisory and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of The Care Act, Mental Capacity Act and Mental Health Act.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to an effective Adult Social Care service using a strengths-based, personalised approach.
• Lead on quality assurance and audit activity using data from complaints, safeguarding reviews and audits.
• Provide professional supervision and guidance to a team while managing a complex caseload.
