Job summary

West Sussex County Council is seeking an experienced qualified social worker to join our community-focused team in West Sussex. The role involves carrying out strengths-based assessments in customers' homes, applying the Care Act and Mental Capacity Act, and developing personalised support plans to promote wellbeing.

You will work with carers and external agencies, manage a complex caseload, and occasionally work flexibly to meet needs.

Qualifications

• Experience of proactive strengths-based assessments in complex situations.
• Proven leadership in partnership with carers, colleagues and external agencies.
• Experience managing risk with a risk enablement approach.
• Ability to analyse complex people-related information to prioritise needs for intervention.
• Experience leading safeguarding enquiries.
