Job summary

Northamptonshire Children’s Trust is recruiting a Senior Social Worker for the Duty and Assessment Team (DAAT) in Northamptonshire. You will respond to referrals, conduct initial assessments, and provide timely interventions to children and families in need, ensuring outcomes are safe and appropriate.

You will lead and support a team of social workers, working with partner agencies to deliver high‑quality social work practice, with safeguarding at the core of every decision.

Qualifications

• Qualified social worker with ASYE completed and registration with Social Work England.
• Experience in safeguarding, child protection, and family support services is preferred.
• Ability to support and supervise junior social workers within a busy DAAT environment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals and conduct initial assessments for children and families in need.
• Provide interventions and lead a team of social workers to ensure safe outcomes.
• Collaborate across agencies to safeguard children and manage complex cases.
