Job summary

Foster Care Associates is seeking a dedicated Senior/Supervising Social Worker to join our Yorkshire and Lincolnshire fostering team. The role is field-based, with the location primarily at children's homes, community activities, or from home, and quarterly travel to the regional Sheffield office.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to produce a high standard of report writing.
• Knowledge of child safeguarding procedures.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively across the Yorkshire/Humberside/Lincs area.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Supervise foster parents and ensure safe, nurturing environments for children.
• Support and monitor foster carers and their competence.
• Attend meetings and provide reports for commissioning teams as needed.
• Provide regular supervision to allocated foster parents.
• Promote participation of children and foster families in service development.
• Undertake occasional initial home visits and Form F assessments.
