Salary £39,513 - £44,711 per annum | 37 hours per week | Fixed term, full time | Short Term Support Service| Fylde and Wyre

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Short Term Support Service team. This role is pivotal in providing strength-based, outcome-focused assessments to adults across community and hospital settings. You will contribute to the leadership and development of the team, ensuring high-quality service delivery and positive outcomes for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Strength-Based Assessment Service: Deliver comprehensive assessments within specified timeframes, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Collaborative Work: Engage with professionals and agencies to meet statutory social care responsibilities, identify safeguarding issues, and support individuals in achieving their ideal outcomes.
  • Case Load Management: Manage a reduced case load, focusing on complex and contentious cases.
  • Staff Supervision and Support: Supervise and support team members, including acting as a Practice Educator for student Social Workers.
  • Team Management Support: Assist the Team Manager in running the team, handling complaints, and promoting continuous improvement.
  • Legal Processes: Support or undertake work related to legal processes and produce high-quality assessments and reports.
  • Policy and Service Development: Contribute to policy, procedural, and service improvements.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualifications: SW, CSS, DipSW, or Social Work Degree; current Social Work England registration.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Social Worker, with experience in complex case management, working with diverse client groups, and supporting less experienced staff.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Detailed knowledge of relevant social care legislation.
  • Proficiency in assessing and analysing needs and risks.
  • Effective collaboration with other agencies and professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage a case load independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improving practice standards.
